The Modern Montessori International (MMI) Group, in partnership with one of Sri Lanka's largest and most established business conglomerates, Ceylinco Consolidated, has spearheaded its flagship Montessori program into Colombo.

The joint enterprise, Modern Montessori International
(Sri Lanka) Pvt Ltd, now occupies its own MMI House in the nation's capital. It offers both teacher-training courses and pre-school programs. With this partnership, MMI and Ceylinco hope to provide individuals aspiring to develop young minds a viable avenue to pursue their passion with our uniquely designed Montessori curriculum.

 

With the extensive combined resources of both organizations, the forthcoming years will witness a mushrooming of interest and growth in the Montessori method of education.

Accreditation
The Modern Montessori (MMI) Group is been accredited by the prestigious British Accreditation Council (BAC) of the U.K.

BAC is a non-profit organisation established in 1984 to act as the national accrediting body for independent further and higher education. It is independent both of government and of the colleges with which it accredits.

A college which is accredited by BAC undergoes a thorough inspection every five years, with an interim visit after two-three years.

BAC's Council includes nominees of a number of the major bodies concerned with the maintenance of standards in British education, including the Association of Colleges, the British Council, the Council of Validating Universities, Universities UK, the Chartered Institutes, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and UKCOSA.

The British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education is registered in the United Kingdom as a charity (Charities Registration No. 326652) and is a private company limited by guarantee (Registered in England No. 1828990)

The Modern Montessori International Group today has 40 centres worldwide. Its principal office is based in the United Kingdom, with overseas offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.
